We’ve done the research, so you don’t have to. Here is a list of what we believe are the best ad-supported free credit score services currently available. All of these services are completely free – no credit card required and no “free trials” involved. Some of them may offer upgraded membership plans which come with a monthly fee, but those are not covered here. This section is all about the 100% free services.

What is an Ad-Supported Free Credit Score Service? – It’s a service which will provide your free credit score at sign-up, usually with monthly updates. Some even provide basic 1-bureau credit monitoring.

I call them “Ad-Supported” because they are exactly that, supported by advertisements instead of a monthly fee. The Premium Services offer many more features and usually monitor all 3 credit bureaus with 3 free credit scores, but if you’re looking for just a basic credit score, you’ll definitely want to give these services a try.
