Your advertising states you do not use artificial fats and trans-fats, etc., and yet you openly use canola oil, a genetically modified oil from the rapeseed plant. There is no such thing as a canola plant. Canola oil is a derivation from two words: Canada and Oil. The original oil was created by the Canadians as a machinery oil. It was then genetically modified to make it “palatable for human consumption”, all-the-while giving lab rats fatty tumors. This information is available if you look for it.
I was hungry one day and decided your chicken salad looked great, and after eating half the medium-sized container discovered you use canola oil mayonnaise. I was somewhat dismayed. If you truly tout being a healthy organization you would know that this particular oil is bad. Because it costs less to produce is the reason so many businesses purchase it since it also costs less to purchase. It is still a GMO’d oil.
I’m rethinking future purchases of any prepared foods lest they contain ingredients that your food philosophy states it is free from. I now know that statement is incorrect.

  2. Hi,
My name isSharon. I frequently shop at the Earthfare in Bearden. That is in Knoxville, Tennessee. It seems whenever I shop in the Wellness department, there is know one to help answer questions. When you have a question(s), It is as though you are a bother or it a sarcastic undertone. Today is an example of the sarcasm I experienced with a sales associate. In the bulk area, I asked a question about slippery elm. “Does slippery elm come in pill form or bulk?” Mind you, I was right in front of the bulk items helping myself to bulk cinnamon. The sales associate stated, it right there in alphabetical order if you look. That’s not what I asked. Besides, I knew that and was well aware that it was located down below the cinnamon.
I am writing this because I have not received a survey for quite sometime now on my receipt.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I appreciate everything that you do to help supply the needs of families and our community.

    Good afternoon,

    Sharon H.

  3. First of all, let me say that I am very thankful for Earth Fare! The Fort Wayne store is always clean and well organized, and the meat department is exceptionally accommodating when I call in an order.
I am writing in particular about your Honey Roasted Peanuts. They are delicious, but there is way too much sugar in each package. I weighed it today ~ in a 12 ounce package, the sugar that I sifted out weighed 3 ounces. Maybe I should find a use for all that extra sugar!

  4. I have same complaint as first customer above. I was finally able to get all numbers entered but not in official order. System rejected me, and thereby invalidated my claim after survey to $5.00 refund. Not a very customer-oriented process!

  5. I tried three times to enter my 16 digit survey code and the time, then I touched Start Survey and my 16 digit code disappeared and I was still on the same webpage. I was unable to complete the survey and get a validation code to receive five dollars off my next $35 purchase .
My 16 digit code is 0917030060030216 . Time 4:30 PM
Please send me a coupon for five dollars off my next $35 purchase and enter me in the contest .

My husband and I have been buying from Earthfare from the time the store opened at the first location in Asheville until now. We appreciate the quality of products that you offer, and the employees are always helpful and pleasant. At least 60 % of our grocery buying is done at Earthfare. Thank you for being in Asheville.

  7. Recently, we bought Earthfare brand pistachio gelato. When we tested it, it is not the creamy gelato we expected. It tasted like iced milk (crushed ice and milk combined). Please don’t call this product gelato.

  8. I only wish we lives closer to the Earthfare. We make it a day trip and fun but it is hard on gas. The closest thing we have for organics is Aldi’s and a bit at Food Lion. If the owners would like to consider a Wilkesboro, NC Store, it would be great!
