  1. They also just closed up their store in Brentwood CA. Been my place for years. Best guess is owners jacked up the lease price? Will they open a new store in Brentwood. I mean who wants to slum down to Starbucks!!! Coffee Bean is a poor substitute.

  2. It is my understanding that Peets in Chico will close in December 2017. To me, this is a tragedy. I rarely have coffee in a coffee shop that is not Peets. I visit the cafe at least once a week. I have purchased Peets cards since they have been in town. Peets is a cornerstone of our downtown. To lose them would be bad for the downtown area, me personally, those that work there. I only buy Peets whether at the stop or at a store. Great Harvest and Raleys also serve Peets, but if that is a person’s only experience drinking their coffee, they will not return. They either don’t have the training or ignore using it. Additionally, they are not located on a good bike route which is how I get around as well as many other locals.
    Please reconsider your decision. It is a bad one for Chico, CA.
